Home truths
• Best for up to 5 adults (plus children). We've hosted many happy parties of six adults, but with one bathroom and our seating layout, up to five adults is the sweet spot.
• Single-story home and lower to the ground than most beach houses. The outdoor stairway is open-air but partially covered by the roof overhang.
• Limited infant gear — the home is not set up for babies. The house guide has local equipment rental info.
• Checkout chores — guests are asked to handle a few light tasks to help us turnover quickly and keep costs down. You can opt out for a small fee we send to our cleaners.
• Wi-Fi is provided via cable internet. We can't guarantee third-party signal quality, though it is generally reliable.

Additional rules1. Occupancy limit: 6 guests total — including day visitors. No guests beyond those on your reservation. If your group is renting multiple properties, The Skipper may not be used as a shared day-house.
2. No parties or events — The home is on a septic system and is an older property not suited for large gatherings.
3. No pets — Pet-free home due to owner allergies. Undeclared pet fee: $275.
4. No indoor smoking — Guests may smoke outside or under the home (please bring an ashtray). Interior must be odor-free at checkout. Indoor smoking fee: $250/day.
5. Late checkout fee: $25/hr (may be higher if next guests are impacted).
6. Not part of rental: the 3rd bedroom and attic spaces.
7. Locals must contact us before booking.
8. Guest names and ages required for all guests.
9. Lost key fee: $250. (Most guests won't need a physical key — digital lock is standard.)
10. Violations of house rules may result in immediate removal without refund.
